Vlad Udrescu is a romanian actor and performer.

After graduating the National University of Drama and Cinematography “I.L. Caragiale” Bucharest, I started working as a freelancer in the independent theaters in Bucharest . Here, I got to work in experimental projects and new forms of performance and drama. I worked also on the classical repertoire in theaters like The National Theater Bucharest, The National Theater Craiova, Comedy Theater etc.

International work:

European Theater Network – cultural management residency in Avignon’s Theater Festival, France, 2017.
European Theater Network – performative creation residency in GogolFest, Ukraine, 2016.
project “Europe(s)”, a collaboration with the National Theater Brussels were I explored some of Romanian’s social and political problems in the context of the E.U.
a scholarship in Corsica from the French Embassy in Romania, participation in “The Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space”
workshops with international artists like Armel Rousell(BEL), Erik Trules(USA), Ragnar Freidank(GER) or Daniele Salvo(IT).
a residence program in GogolFest (Kiev, Ukraine) were i directed a show about embracing failure and the relationship between artists and success.

a project in a international film.

I am currently employed as an actor in The National Theater “Marin Sorescu” Craiova.
