Curriculum Vitae

   

            VLAD UDRESCU is a Romanian actor and performer.

After graduating the National University of Drama and Cinematography “I.L. Caragiale” Bucharest, I started working as a freelancer in the independent theaters in Bucharest . Here, I got to work in experimental projects and new forms of performance and drama. I worked also on the classical repertoire in theaters like The National Theater Bucharest, The National Theater Craiova, Comedy Theater etc.

International work:

  • European Theater Network – cultural management residency in Avignon’s Theater Festival, France, 2017.
  • European Theater Network – performative creation residency in GogolFest, Ukraine, 2016.
  • project “Europe(s)”,  a collaboration with the National Theater Brussels were I explored some of  Romanian’s social and political problems in the context of the E.U.
  • a scholarship in Corsica from the French Embassy in Romania, participation  in “The Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space”
  • workshops with international artist like Erik Trules(USA),Armel Rousell(BEL) Ragnar Freidank(GER) or  Daniele Salvo(IT)
  • a residence program in GogolFest (Kiev, Ukraine) were i directed a show about embracing failure and the relationship between artists and success.
  • participant as Emergent Talent at „Talents Sarajevo” at Sarajevo Film Festival
  • a project in a international film.

I am currently employed as an actor in The National Theater “Marin Sorescu” Craiova.
